The Variety / MTS Allstream Leadership in the Community Scholarship
Variety the Children's Charity of Manitoba relies heavily on volunteer and community support in order to accomplish its mandate of serving children with special needs in our province. In order to encourage volunteerism, and also because we rely on community leaders, Variety, together with title sponsor MTS
Allstream, annually awards a $2,000 scholarship to a Manitoba High School student who has demonstrated community leadership by volunteerism and service to others and is pursuing a Post Secondary Education at a Manitoba University or College.
The student must be enrolled in Senior 4 at a Manitoba High School, and they must be pursuing immediate post secondary studies. Variety's mandate is to fund programs and initiatives that enrich the lives of children living with disabilities or disadvantages - therefore, preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated sincere leadership in caring for others.
